Women's Empowerment & Livelihood
2020 - continuing
Assam - Meghalaya
With the COVID19 pandemic, we realized the need to prioritize livelihood and social protection, together with our health activities. Our consultants in Assam and Meghalaya have been working with marginalised and remote communities in districts of Assam and Meghalaya and supporting livelihood initiatives taken for them.
Activities
Our team has been participating in raising awareness and attending workshops for promotion of self help groups for women farmers, linking to social protection schemes and government financial institutions. In addition, our team is also addressing violence against women and children and focusing on the role of the government in creating a safe and enabling environment
We are also supporting Assam TB survivor network in rendering psycho-social support and empowering them toward better access to health services and employment
